Oh, by the way Randy Jenkins from Pennington Gap played QB at Kentucky. I am sure there are several other kids from the area we've missed.
Gray Hagy from Thomas Walker to VT i think.

Spivey was listed in the media guide as was the other four Gate City boys. He was also dressed for media day but did not scrimmage in the afternoon because of bruised ribs. He will try to mix it up on Saturday's scrimmage but will definately be at work on Monday! Isaiah looked great and has worked hard this summer to get where he is!

Robbie Colley - VPI (Tazewell) - P
Luke Owens - VPI (Grundy) - OL
Nick Leeson - VPI (Abingdon) - long snapper
Mark Muncey - VPI (Tazewell)

Grant Throckmorton (a r-s Jr. form Wytheville) broke his leg while running about a month ago and Tech had to find a new scout team QB for the first 2 months (at least) - Nelson County's true Freshman Brian Saunders, who was recruited as a Punter.

Matt McGlothlin - Tenn. (Richlands)

Richlands has a couple of Frosh at Morehead St. (Brandon Gayheart & Garrett Arms - which turned down an offer to walk-on at WVU), while Rob Stanton went to Richmond.

Greg Tester did NOT play for Miami - tried to walk on and didn't make it - came back and starred at UVA-Wise a few years back.

Ahmad didn't play at UVA - don't think he even enrolled. Got in trouble up there during the Summer and transferred to Marshall before the semester started. He got hurt in practice last week and his replacement (also from Graham - Paco Jones) got a TD.
